Saturday, April 27th, 2013 - Trout Season Opener - all day.
Trout Season Opener is always the last Saturday in April.
Caribou celebrates the opening of the season with:
Big Fish Contest - $5 entry fee with 100% payback to top 3 places.
Must be signed up before 7am on April 27th, 2013
Big Mike's Barbecue - Barbecue specials all day, and baked good treats.
Come enjoy a meal beside the river!

Saturday, May 4, 2013 - 6:30pm - Mexican Fiesta Night
Happy Cinco de Mayo, amigos! Grab your sombrero and let's get together for
a Mexican-themed potluck - Ole!
Saturday, June 8th, 2013 - 6:30pm - Hawaiian Night
Put on your loudest Hawaiian shirt and let's have some island fun!
Potluck dinner - and dressing in theme always encouraged!
Thursday, July 4th, 2013 - 5:30pm - Fourth of July Parade
3rd annual old fashioned Fourth of July Parade. Kids, bikes, pets - all are encouraged to enter and strut your American spirit! Spectators
encouraged and welcome - bring a chair and buy a glass of cold lemonade.
Don't forget to wear your red, white and blue!
Saturday, August 3rd, 2013 - 6:30pm - Wild West Night
Cowboys, saloon girls - we hope you will be in attendance for our Wild West Night! Caribou 'town' will be complete with a jail and Sweet Water Saloon - watch out for Sheriff Mike! Potluck with western theme. Games and prizes - wear your best 'wild west' outfit!

Let's enjoy a movie together, out at the campfire! Popcorn, s'mores, and a
toasty fire - snuggle up! Movie to be announced at a later date.

8th Annual Caribou Iron Chef
Special ingredient - Chicken
Mark your calendar for this one! You must be signed up in advance. Entry fee
will be $7, with $5 going back into the winning pot. You'll want to participate as
everyone competes for cash and the coveted prize - your name to be featured
on the plaque for everyone to see!

Trout Fishing - Trout season opens the last Saturday in April and runs through mid October. Grab your pole (and your fishing license!) and let's go fishing! www.dfg.ca.gov
Kayaking - The Feather River is a kayakers dream, and many kayaks can be seen making their way down the river on weekends. Beginners and experts alike will find what they are looking for.
Hiking - There are so many hiking trails and beautiful areas to explore... Lace up those hiking boots and get out there!
Gold Panning and Gold Mining - Operating from Caribou Crossroads, The Golden Caribou Mining Association offers gold panning lessons and equipment usage for the first time gold panner. For more information, visit www.goldencaribou.com
